Attention GO TEXAN Restaurant members:

Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) has been alerted to a solicitation scam in which restaurants, bed-and-breakfast hotels or other food service establishments are being contacted via telephone and e-mail by individuals attempting to coerce "food safety poster" sales. These individuals are falsely claiming to be representatives of TDA or another state agency and are implying that such posters are mandatory. TDA has issued no such sales initiative and in no way authorizes or endorses this misleading claim. Please be aware.
