GO TEXAN Beef Program
Texas ranks first in U.S. beef production, but consumers shopping for a juicy T-bone or a pound of lean hamburger have no way of knowing whether the beef they buy comes from the Lone Star State. That's because Texas beef is marketed generically. It could come from anywhere. Nothing labels it as a genuine Texas product.

The Texas Department of Agriculture's GO TEXAN Beef Program is about to change that situation. GO TEXAN Beef will clearly identify 100 percent Texas raw beef products, building recognition, adding value and developing customer loyalty. Membership guidelines will ensure consistent quality and palatability.
