Key Lime Gulf Shrimp Penne

When in the Florida Keys, a string of tiny tropical islands connected to the mainland by roads and bridges, it’s all about the equally tiny key lime. This pasta recipe should rank right up there with the iconic key lime pie.

Serves 4-6


  • 20 Large Texas Gulf shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp. Salted butter
  • 1 cup Pico de gallo
  • 6 Green onions, diced
  • ½ cup Key lime juice
  • ¼ cup Dry white wine
  • 1 lb. Penne pasta, cooked
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Freshly grated parmesan cheese


Briefly saute the shrimp in the butter just until the edges start to curl, then add the pico de gallo and green onion.

After 1 minute, add the lime juice and wine. Bring to a boil.

Add the pasta and stir to heat through.

Season with salt and pepper.

Serve with parmesan cheese.
